New!

There are all kinds of interesting things happening 'round here. Well, for starters I have been traveling around and playing lots of shows. I have met some cool, new people and gotten to see up and coming musicians rock out! I have also been doing some song writing; maybe I'll play a couple of the new ones if you ask nicely...

I have been adding Youtube videos! Check out my Youtube page for more info:

I have also discovered I have the ability to stream live video from my mobile phone. If you are interested in seeing that go to:

I have broken down after a conversation at a gig this week and started a twitter account:

This was our very first public performance on stage at Canal Street Tavern in Dayton, Ohio.

I Barely Survived the Snow Monster...

I barely survived the Snow Monster that was waiting on my roof to catch me last night. It had long claws and huge paws and was possibly related to the other Snow Monster that scared Canal Street Tavern into cancelling the Co-Op last night. They must have been really frightened because nobody from CST called to tell me the show had been called off. Luckily one of the other performers has a history of battling Ohio Grassman Monsters and bravely determined the doors to the venue would be closed last night. He alerted me to save me from venturing into the ice-field parking lot armed with just a Cigar Box guitar and Suitcase Drum (thanks Reggie!).

I heard a rumor that they will try to schedule the performers again. They may have to wait until this herd of Snow Monsters leaves Dayton though...

Songwriters-in-the-Round

This past Sunday night I was invited to play the Canal Street Tavern Songwriters-in-the-Round for January 2010. It was the first time I have ever been to this type of show, much less played at one. I really enjoyed the experience. I am glad to have been asked to take part in a show designed for songwriters to support and learn from each other.

I wish more people would come out and support local, live music. I am very grateful for my friends who came out to take in the experience!

Sittin on top of the world

Sittin on top of the world

This video was taken a few years ago at the Open Stage I used to run in Fairborn Ohio. It was a late night night and I was too lazy to bring my Suitcase Drum or Reso (they need special microphones). I did get to meet three really great people from the Royal Air Force that night. I wonder what they have been up to lately...
